Faculty Fest

Into the humknown

This event showcases the many programs available within the Humanities faculty. Program booths will be hosted by reps, society presidents, and professors, so you have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you have.

There will also be a speaker from the Careers Office, campus tours, and a petting zoo.

Expedition Mt. Hum

At this event, there is a 24 ft rock wall, an inflatable log cabin, portage racing, archery, axe throwing, a food truck, and other fun activities.

Have fun, make friends, and test your abilities!

We also host our annual hum talent show! Come prepared with your talent.

Blue Skies and Good Vibes

Big Blu Nation is a collaborative event with social sciences, kinesiology, and wilson college!

At this event, there will be: a psychic, a caricature artist, face painting, glitter tattoos, and a live student band.

Humming around the Campfire

Humming Around the Campfire is our annual karaoke event!

Sing a song, sit around the campfire and share stories, or snap some photos in our photobooth! There will also be Insomnia cookies and a smores activity!

HENS Festival

HENS is our annual interfaculty event with Engineering, Nursing, and Science! Come meet first years from other faculties and show some interfaculty love!

There will be a dunk tank (proceeds go to charity!), a HENS merch table, a tattoo booth, lawn games, a powder toss, and many more!

Humcharted Territory

Destination: Treetop Trekking Hamilton! This event will take us off campus to the true Humdoors! There will be two activities: a GPS Rally and a zipline.

to participate, you must:

  • wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals!)

  • long hair must be tied in a ponytail

  • if you wear a turban, you are encouraged to wear a parka or dastar so the helment may fit correctly.

THE FINAL JAM

Welcome Week ends with a bang as all faculties and residences perform a dance routine to battle it out for their last chance at winning the faculty cup!

The night will end with closing ceremonies, memories from the week, and the presentation of the faculty cup.
